Welcome to Creative Brushes

This co-creative drawing application will allow you to direct autonomus drawing agents to draw creative sketches. The drawing agents act as interesting and non-predictable brushes that will steer you in the right creative direction. This system draws inspriation from natural dynamic drawing mediums that add their own touch to the artwork such as water colors and Turkish marbling art(ebru)

Brush Palette

Middle of the bar is the brush palette where 3 brushes with distinct qualities can be toggled. Creative, viby and precise.

Color Palette

On the left of the bar you will find the color palette. Select a color to paint with, or toggle the dropdown to switch to a different palette.

Controls

Undo the last stroke.

Clear the entire canvas.

Play — watch the agents draw your strokes in real time.

Download the painting as PNG or the project as JSON.

Upload a previously saved project JSON.

Brushes

Create a Brush

Open the brush dropdown and hit +. Choose between two modes:

Manual — tune each parameter yourself with sliders.
Evolutionary Search — draw strokes and pick the results you like; the system evolves better options over generations.

When happy, download the brush as JSON.

Add a Brush

Open the brush dropdown and hit the upload icon next to a category. Select a brush JSON file to import it into that category.
